Maud JFC - Squad 2017-18
After signing in the summer, Craig Lowden has became a mainstay in the team at both left back or centre back, and despite joining in July he’s already captained the side away to Banks o Dee in September.
“Joining Maud in the summer has come as a fresh challenge for me and is one that sees me take up a role as one of the most experienced in the squad. Since coming in - the most recognisable aspects that have impressed me are the quality and tempo of training and the group of lads within the changing room. Although the majority are still trying to learn their trade at this level, the ability is there (although raw at times). So hopefully throughout the season myself and some of the older heads in the dressing room can help develop them and let the ability shine through.
The fact there are so many new faces is perhaps some of the reasoning behind the slow start in the league- however, once we all bond together and gel, I have no doubt we will be competing at the right end of the league.
Craig is sponsored by The Sandollar cafe and wears the number 3 squad number.
The management has had to build pretty much a new team this season which obviously takes time to gel together but there has been massive improvements the past few weeks. The tempo and attitude at training has been excellent - add that to the quality of the training being given by the management, the lads will only improve.
This season is a slightly different challenge for me, now being one of the ‘older’ heads in the squad but it’s one that I am really enjoying. Despite a few poor results, the changing room is still a very good place to be in, with everyone - players, management, committee - working hard to turn things around.”
Midfielder Kevin joined in the summer, is proudly sponsored by Sea Cargo Ltd and wears the number 21 Jersey.

For me personally i have really enjoyed my time at Maud so far, from the management to the players and committee they have all been first class with me. The togetherness at Maud is unbelievable, we as players need to start doing the business on the pitch to make all the hard work we put into training worthwhile, the training has been first class since i arrived, the management played a big part in me coming to Maud
Mark is sponsored by Gary Addison of Goldwells, and is squad number 4.
